The SERVERZ team returned from Datacloud Global Congress 2026 in Cannes with one clear conclusion. The question facing the data center industry is no longer whether demand will grow. It is how fast operators can deliver capacity that actually works.
Demand has become the baseline
After several years of rapid expansion, the industry now takes strong demand for data center capacity for granted. AI workloads and the continued shift to cloud architecture keep pushing requirements upward, and few people at the congress expected that to change soon.
What has changed is the conversation. Panels and side meetings focused less on market size and more on delivery. Three questions came up again and again:
- How can operators deploy new capacity faster?
- Where will reliable, sustainable power come from?
- How should operators design facilities for the power densities that AI hardware now requires?
From square meters to operational quality
For years, buyers compared data centers mainly by floor space and megawatts. Those numbers still matter, but they no longer tell the full story. Customers are asking harder questions about operational efficiency, automation, resilience and how well a facility works with the wider ecosystem of carriers, cloud providers and integrators.
In practice, this means customers judge a facility by how it runs, not only by how big it is. Monitoring, maintenance discipline, redundancy design and response times are becoming part of the commercial decision.
Why this matters in Israel
Israel faces the same pressures as Europe, with an added constraint: grid allocation for new large-scale facilities can take years. Organizations planning AI or cloud expansion cannot always wait years for new capacity to come online.
This is where existing, operational infrastructure becomes a real advantage. SERVERZ is already operating today, with 16MW of total power capacity, 10MW allocated to IT load and 4,500 sqm of net whitespace. Uptime Institute has certified the facility as Tier III, and its design targets 99.982% availability.
Building smarter, not only bigger
One idea summed up the congress well: operators who build and run infrastructure intelligently will lead the next phase of the industry, not simply those who build the most. No single company can meet this pace of growth alone, and partnerships across power, connectivity and operations are becoming essential.
At SERVERZ, we see this every day. Our customers need capacity they can use now, built for higher densities and run with clear processes and real-time monitoring. That is the standard we work to.
